Time needed: 3 minutes (1 minute each)
Setting: Any time wanting to strengthen connection
Purpose: Building and recognizing authentic belonging moments
Connection Anchor (60 seconds)
What: Close eyes, recall a moment when you felt completely accepted by someone. Notice where you felt it in your body, what made it special, what words or gestures created that sense of belonging.
Notice: Physical sensations of belonging, what specific actions conveyed acceptance, how safety feels in your body
Why: Identifies personal belonging markers, creates sensory template, builds awareness of when belonging happens
Belonging Bridge (60 seconds)
What: Choose one relationship where you'd like to deepen belonging. Write/think of one small action you could take today to create more authentic connection (sharing something true, asking a meaningful question, expressing appreciation for who they truly are).
Notice: What feels both vulnerable and connecting, which relationships are ready for deeper belonging, where small openings exist
Why: Creates practical belonging pathway, builds relationship depth, makes belonging actionable
Circle of Safety (60 seconds)
What: Mentally place yourself in circle with 3-5 people where you belong. For each person, name one way they make you feel you belong and one way you help them belong. End by saying silently "I belong here."
Notice: The unique belonging qualities of each relationship, your contribution to others' belonging, what mutual belonging feels like
Why: Recognizes existing belonging circles, strengthens reciprocal connection, affirms belonging reality
